LV Prasad gave 1 crore and five acres of land in Banjara Hills to set up an eye hospital. When LV Prasad, the producer of the film, was looking forward to donate a portion of the profit he made from the success of the film for a good cause, he came across Dr Gullapalli Nageswara Rao (GN Rao), an eye specialist who returned to India from the US with a mission to take quality eye care to the people. HYDERABAD: Many would be pleasantly surprised to know that 1981 super hit movie 'Ek Duuje Ke Liye' gave birth to global eye care and research centre L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad.
